Just got back from a three day birthday trip to London. I adore the atmosphere of London… so inspiring.

Ordering online is all well and good, but finding beautiful treasures in person is so much fun and can take you down a creative avenue you hadn’t thought of ^__^

One place I have to go to whenever I’m in London is VV Rouleaux. It is a veritable sweetshop for the eye, with displays full of ribbons, trims and embellishments… it’s so easy to get lost in the amount of choice there is.

It has been a while since I played with watercolour paints, but I felt creative this evening and worked on some florals. I’m really happy with how they came out ^__^

And as it’s me and I adore the word ‘hello’ I had to paint that too.

beautiful alphabet

Found these lovely little 4 inch hand fashioned aluminium bali letters and characters in Love Earth Store (in the Enterprise Arcade in Stockton on Tees).

I just had to get some of these and hoping to find a use for them within my project life. I got and ‘S’ and two ampersands… one ampersand to go on display in my are room ^__^

another project life update

Got some more work done on my project life… I’ve fallen completely in love with the new My Mind’s Eye My Story collection. I added in patterned paper from Dear Lizzy Documentary and Basic Grey Barista.20150913_165827-1

I love when a new collection sparks some inspiration… and also helps me use up scraps and left over supplies I’ve hoarded ^__^

I also stumbled across a great technique… I’d gotten the My Story washi tape pack and really wanted to use it on this layout, the problem with washi tape being that it is partially transparent. I was quite disappointing that I wouldn’t be able to include it, until I looked at the pile of scrap cream cardstock left from mounting my (almost) 4×6 photos and stuck the washi tape to the cardstock first then cut it down and used it to create layered embellishment clusters… so happy with how it turned out ^__^
