Started work on homemade Christmas decorations for my family today ^__^ … only 40 more nights until Christmas so I don’t have a whole lot of time to get them done.
As I adore chalkboard I couldn’t help but decide to make chalkboard Christmas decorations, finishing them off with some monochrome striped ribbon, gold organza ribbon and a gold snowflake wood veneer… I’m starting to get into the Christmas spirit and it feels great ^__^
I’ve been working in a 6×12 size album for my project life, so I thought I’d try creating a layout in the same size to see if I like the idea of doing ‘normal’ scrapbook layouts in this size. I’ve put this layout together using one of my own watercolour backgrounds and scraps of paper from my stash ^__^
I really quite like this page size, so am most likely to continue with it.
Christmas will soon be here so time to start with some holiday crafting ^__^
I raided my stash for items to put these tags together… the wood veneers are new though, the snowflakes are table scatter from Paperchase and the trees are from the Range. The gold glitter tags are also from Paperchase and were in my stash from last year, but I’m sure they will will be stocking these gorgeous tags again ^__^
I love Christmas, it is my favourite time of the year… so it seems only right to make wrapping of gifts almost as lovely as the gift inside. I’m quite sentimental and love unique wrapping and quirky details, things I can keep and add into my memory keeping alongside christmas photographs ^__^
As I’ve really enjoyed working with watercolours lately I thought that is what I would work with for my entry for Studio Calico’s design contest ^__^.
I’ve created two journalling cards… as my scrapbooking is mainly project life this seemed the logical choice for me. Now I just have to hope people vote for my design ^__^
Got these beautiful acrylic ampersands today. Again I cannot fault the quality of product and service from Color Cast Designs… I love ampersands almost as much as the word ‘Hello’. These ampersands are two inches tall and quite thin so are perfect to include in project life as well as other scrapbooking projects.
Really liked the floral watercolour embellishments, so decided to look at creating floral borders and paper designs. Worked with raspberry, teal and mustard shades and really like how these turned out.
Really enjoyed my little London trip… and enjoyed creating my project life pages following the trip. I’m leaning more on the embellished/scrapbooking style with my project life at the moment and quite enjoying it ^__^
I forgot to mention in the video that the background to the page with the ‘beautiful’ sticker on is actually a leaflet from VV Rouleaux showing how the make bows… I saw it in the store and grabbed an extra as I knew I had to include it in my project life somewhere ^__^
